Practicing the Falling and Standing Stronger We Learnt In Childhood

Falling and Standing – The Survival Technique We Learnt as Toddlers

How did we forget the fall-and-stand stronger technique we learnt as kids?

Many adults voice their disappointment about their lives, expressing nostalgia for their childhood carefree days. Childhood is the time of life when all of us spend days trying, falling and standing stronger, learning something at school, at home, on the streets, and having intense emotions because of everything: fear, shyness, excitement, heartbreaking disappointments, and pure joy.

Maybe if more people carried that childlike intense approach to their adulthood, and explored, tried and tried again just as they did as children, they would live a fulfilling life. Maybe that is how we are meant to live, but most of us are being sedated so we ignore the urge and are not so happy or satisfied.

Many are scared to start something new or try something different. People are just so worried about falling or wasting their time. Everybody sincerely does not like the idea of failure. Some feel like they have to keep learning till they figure out how to succeed, but how do they think they are going to learn to succeed if not by falling and standing up again?

Understanding the Trait of Being Happy for the Success of Other People

You must make mistakes and fall in order to learn to stand firm. You can only watch so many videos and listen to so many people talk perfection before you take the leap and try for yourself but that doesn’t take out the probability of falling down to zero.

We all didn’t learn how to talk or walk in a day. Just because you fall doesn’t mean you fail. It just gives you the opportunity to dust your knees, check for blood, and then keep going.

Falling down makes us tougher and readier for the harder things to come because one day we won’t get up, and it’s going to be epic when that day comes. Remember falling, not failing. Falling can be overcome.

It is a matter of changing your perspective, my friend. Even failure is not the end point, but rather, a new beginning. If you consider failures and mistakes to be negative, then they will be, but if you approach them as learning and growth opportunities, then they will be.

Failure is taught in school with the exams, “You have failed, you are not good enough, because our expectations are the key to a good life!” There is no “failure,” only expectations. Don’t be afraid of falling as it’s not a weakness, it is strength. It is what you have to learn from to move forward.

Do not be afraid to fail. Always try your best. You’re never going to know if you don’t try. So go try. And if you fail, keep trying. Be persistent with your efforts.
