Praying for a Relationship with a Specific Person

For the Bible says that we will find when we seek through the Lord, we are by this allowed in Jesus name to seek that which is not Sin but will give us fulfillment. Praying for a relationship with a specific Person in our life whether close or afar will put our desires on God’s table and in doing so, He perfects his word.

Let us Pray

Dear Lord giver of good things, I come before You with a heart filled with hope and longing for a relationship with [mention name],who is very dear to my heart. Lord, I understand that Your will is paramount, and I humbly ask for Your guidance, blessings, and the fulfillment of my desires, as I place this relationship in Your loving hands.

Your Word reminds us in Praying for a Relationship with a [mention name] in Proverbs 3:5-6 to “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” I trust in Your divine wisdom and plan, Lord, and I submit this relationship to You. Please make our paths straight, leading us in the direction that aligns with Your perfect will.

In Psalm 37:4, we are reminded that “Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.” I seek to delight in You, Lord, knowing that as I draw closer to You, my desires align more closely with Your will. I pray for Your divine intervention in nurturing and blossoming this relationship. In 1 Corinthians 13:4-7, we learn about the characteristics of love, and I ask that Your love may be the foundation of our relationship: “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”

May Your love guide our interactions, ensuring that they are characterized by patience, kindness, selflessness, and a genuine desire to protect and honor one another. May our relationship be a testimony to the love and grace that You pour into our lives.

Lord,  I am praying for a relationship with a specific person [mention name], I also pray for Your wisdom and discernment in navigating the challenges and complexities that may arise in our relationship. In James 1:5, we are assured that “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” I ask for Your wisdom, dear Lord, in making decisions and choices that are in alignment with Your plan for us.

In Philippians 2:3-4, we are reminded to “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.” I pray for humility and a selfless attitude in our relationship. May we value and uplift one another, placing each other’s interests above our own, as we seek a mutual and beneficial connection.

Lord, I acknowledge that Your will surpasses our understanding, and I pray that Your perfect will may be fulfilled in this relationship. Whether it leads to a deeper bond, lifelong partnership, or another purpose, I trust in Your plan. Your Word assures us in Romans 8:28 that “in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.” I love You, Lord, and I have faith that You are working for our good and for Your divine purpose.

As this relationship unfolds, I seek to exalt Your name and give thanks for the blessings and growth it brings into our lives. May our connection be a testimony to Your love and grace, reflecting the beauty of a relationship nurtured in Your presence.

In Your holy and precious name, I offer this prayer, knowing that Your will shall be done, and that Your blessings will flow abundantly in our relationship in the mighty name of Jesus Christ your son, Amen.
